Generator service and maintenance

Generator servicing is an important part of your backup armoury.  Regardless of how frequently you run or use your generator, a full service should be carried out at least once a year to make sure your machine will work as and when you want it to.  Regular maintenance, even at intervals of 12 months, can highlight component wear or malfunction of certain parts.  Just when you may need your generator most, a failure could occur which you could have prevented.  If you own a car you get it serviced, the same rule applies with a generator.  Generator servicing is a good idea, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.  Remember, if you buy a new generator and do not service or maintain it in line with the manufacturer’s guidelines, any future claim under warranty is likely to be invalidated.

For all generator servicing, repair and maintenance enquiries, visit our sister company PPSPower.

If you have a small leisure type generator that could be picked up and despatched back to our factory, we would be happy to carry out a 10 point service inspection for you.  If your generator is static and an integral part of your electrical infrastructure at home or at work and cannot be moved we have over 30 in-field service engineers who can come directly to you.  A planned program of generator maintenance for commercial and industrial applications as well as home backup should always be considered an essential part of any standby power protection system.

As part of a 12 month initiative that will run throughout 2020, Generator Warehouse is offering to extend the standard Warranty for all our generators by an additional 1 year and a 20% off list price for a 3 year service agreement.
